Slap on the Wrist for Assualting a Senior

No JusticeUsing metal table leggings, 3 young girls aged 15 to 16 attacked a 66-year-old woman last summer in Halifax. They wore bandanas across their faces to conceal their identities and only stopped beating the senior when a passerby intervened and chased them away. They were later caught and just recently sentenced.

The victim suffered a broken rib, a punctured chest, severe bruising, and a lifetime of trauma. What did the girls get? One girl received 30 days, another girl 149 days, and the third girl 201 days in custody on top of the time they have already served. That’s fucking sick considering that they could have killed this lady in that completely random act of violence. It’s especially sick when you take into account the fact that they will only spend two-thirds of that piss poor sentence in custody.

That sentence shows a complete disregard to the safety of law-abiding citizens and applies encouragement to the tune that crime is tolerated in this country.

100 Badly Neglected Cats and Dogs

Puppies in a CageThere’s a sickening story in Port Hastings, Nova Scotia about an animal rescue shelter that horribly neglected the animals in there care. Apparently, over 100 cats and dogs were found covered in their own urine and feces. Many of the cats are said to have ear mites as well as upper respiratory illnesses. A few of the animals were even placed on IVs in the pet hospitals. It was so bad that a live cat was actually found in the same cage as a dead cat. How fucking disgusting is that.

The shelter is called Celtic Pets Rescue and is owned and operated by Zonda MacIsaac, an apparently well known advocate for homeless animals. There is a small support thread going on found here; a support thread which will no doubt get smaller. The vice president of this so-called rescue shelter, Alice MacIsaac, is also an SPCA special agent. SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) agents are supposed to investigate reports of abuse and animal neglect. Pretty fucking ironic, huh?

You can read more about it here.

Guy Lafleur Aids Criminal

Guy Lafleur JerseyHockey legend Guy Lafleur turned himself in yesterday after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He is accused of giving a false testimony during his son’s bail hearing last November where he stated that his son was respecting a court-ordered curfew. However, Lafleur later admitted that he drove his 23-year-old son to hotels to spend the night with his 16-year-old girlfriend.

His son, Mark Lafleur, faces more than 20 criminal charges, including sexually assaulting a minor, armed assault, uttering threats and forcible confinement between 2004 and 2007. In my eyes, it’s fucking amazing that this guy is even allowed out on bail.

What really pisses me off, however, is the fact that the public is standing up for Mr. Lafleur as well as cursing the Montreal Police Service for issuing the warrant in the first place. That’s just sick to me. I understand that this man is a hero on the ice. But, let’s not forget that justice must be served regardless of your social status. Scoring 1353 points during an astounding career in the NHL does not put somebody above the law.

Self-taught expert, Dr. Charles Smith

Dr. Charles SmithDr. Charles Smith had sat in on several criminal cases as an expert in pediatric forensics. He gave his testimonies. Testimonies which have now been reviewed as wrongful. Testimonies which sent innocent people, parents, to jail. And now many more of his cases are being reviewed. For God sakes, hopefully all of them.

It was self-taught, it was minimal, and retrospectively I realize it was woefully inadequate.” That was Dr. Charles Smith’s statement on his training as a pediatric forensic pathologist. Now, my question is, how the hell did he make it through 30 years in that profession? Who the hell hired him and what does this say about the rest of the pediatric forensic pathologists in this country?

Dr. Charles Smith had also admitted that he “had a thing” against people that hurt children and that he assumed his role was to “support the Crown attorney” during those cases. Wow. As if the justice system wasn’t fucked up enough. Now their ‘experts’ have been proven to be biased and completely ignorant of the way the system works.

Since the public inquiry, many of the cases in which Dr. Charles Smith played a key role in have been deemed wrong. Here are a few examples…

William Mullins-Johnson was convicted of the first-degree murder of his 4 year old niece in 1993. Smith testified she was anally raped and suffocated. Other experts found no such evidence and concluded she died of natural causes.

Louise Reynolds was charged with killing her 7 year old daughter in 1997. Smith testified that the little girl had been stabbed 80 times with a scissors. Other pathologists concluded the girl was mauled by a do.

Brenda Waudby was charged with beating her 21 month old daughter to death in 1997. A pubic hair was found in her groin which went missing. Case was withdrawn after other experts concluded that the baby-sitter, who later admitted it, had killed the child. That pubic hair was later found in Dr. Smith’s desk drawer.

Sadly, he’ll probably get a slap on the wrist and retire with his full pension in tact. Go Canadian Justice!!

Animal Cruelty

Cute PugAny practitioners or supporters of this kind of terrible evil deserve to endure a long and tormenting death. Something to the degree of being beaten with random objects to the point of near death only to be revived and have the process repeated to them over and over and over again.

I don’t dare go into detail of any stories that I have heard concerning animal cruelty. It would only make me even more furious than I already am as I write this post. I couldn’t even look at the pictures that popped up when I googled ‘Animal Cruelty’ for an image for this post; that’s why I decided to post the cute picture instead.

I will, however, say that one of the stories involve a handful of young burglars, a microwave, and the unfortunate family cat. There was also an incident that occurred to a friend of mine that also involved her house getting broken into. She came home to find her pet Pug trembling in the kitchen corner. The saddest part is that my friend locked her Pug in her kennel before leaving the house that morning. Meaning the burglar or burglars went through the trouble of taking the dog out of her kennel to do whatever it was they did to her. Bunch of fucking tough guys, huh? Man, what I would give to have 10 fucking minutes in a room with those cock suckers.

What possesses people to do such cruel things to such innocent creatures? I mean, how fucked up does your upbringing have to be to even brainstorm the idea of performing something so twisted. All I know is that I consider my dog as a family member; as I’m sure many of you do. And, if anybody did anything that sick and callous to my dog I would probably be going to jail for murder.

Self Defence??

Self DefenceA lot of commotion in Alberta regarding the death of a home invasion suspect near Calgary. The incident began when 2 men broke into the house at about 3 in the morning. They entered the bedroom where a couple, the only 2 residents, was asleep and a fight ensued which involved a knife or some sharp object. The confrontation ended with one of the criminals fleeing suffering stab wounds and his partner dead on the scene. Now the police are questioning whether it was self defence.

Fucking rights it was self defence. This guy was a goddamn hero in my eyes. If 2 grown ass men broke into my bedroom where I was asleep with my girlfriend, you best believe I’m gonna come out swinging hard. And I wouldn’t be thinking twice about the health and welfare of those little bitches. My number one concern at that point would be what these criminals would do to my girlfriend if I didn’t take them down.

I think it’s safe to assume that those fuckers (apparently known by the residents) didn’t break into the home and enter the bedroom for a friendly chat. And, I doubt that they came in there with the strict intention of robbing the place otherwise they would have avoided confrontation as oppose to coming into the bedroom; they were there to hurt someone. And, c’mon; there were 2 of them. In that situation I think that full force would be the minimum force necessary. Why pull any punches?

I seriously hope this guy doesn’t get in shit for exercising his god given right to protect his home and loved one. If he does, expect some public outrage nationwide.

Comical Arrests

Comical ArrestsI recently read a story regarding a thief hiding from a pair of Police Officers. One of the officers, upon entering a building which they suspected the thief was hiding in, called out, “Marco.” No, the thief’s name was not Marco. The officer was simply trying to make light of the situation. Surprisingly, the criminal was also well humored and responded with, “Polo.” Needless to say, the criminal was soon found and arrested.

Put a smile on your face? Here are a few other stories that I dug up involving some rather comical arrests.

  1. In Des Moines, Iowa, a woman tried to avoid paying traffic tickets by sending her judge a letter stating that she was deceased. It worked. The judge threw the case away believing the violator to be recently departed. However, it was soon resurrected when she was pulled over again for speeding a month down the road. Along with those traffic charges was also an account of fraud.
  2. A pair of thieves made out with $2,000 worth of digital cameras at a local Wal-Mart in Long Island, New York. Unfortunately for the police, the surveillance cameras in the store didn’t help much as there were no clear views of the criminals’ faces. However, they did note something of interest while watching the tapes; one of the thieves decided to use a chained demo camera to take a picture of their partner during the crime spree. The police were able to print out a photo from that demo camera and used it to correctly identify the photogenic thieves.
  3. In White Burr Lake, Minnesota, an 18 year old woman was being charged with criminal vehicular homicide. The accusation came after 2 teenage boys were killed in an accident where she was driving the car intoxicated. She pleaded not guilty to the charge but posted the following on her MySpace profile…

“I JUST WANT TO LET EVERYONE KNOW..AUGUST 19 2006 [Passenger #1] AND [Passenger #2] DIED AND ME AND [Passenger #3] WERE HURT I’M SURE ALOT OF YOU REALLY DONT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT ME …. YES ITS MY FAULT BECAUSE I WAS THE DRIVER BUT THINK ABOUT IT HOW MANY OF YOU DID WHAT I DID …. NOW DONT GET ME WRONG I TAKE FULL RESPONSABILTY FOR EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED, …. I NEVER THOUGHT IT WAS GONNA HAPPEN TO ME AND IT DID. I LEARNED FROM THAT I LOST TWO VERY GOOD FRIENDS OF MINE AND ALOT OF PEOPLE DID. I GUESS ALL I’M TRYING TO SAY IS LEARN FROM WHAT I DID …. I WANT TO SAY I’M SORRY TO EVERYONE THIS HAS EFFECTED, THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS TRULY I AM, I NEVER MENT TO DO THIS. LIKE I SAID PLEASE LEARN FROM WHAT I DID AND REMEMBER WHO WE LOSS”

…she is currently serving 23 years on probation.

  4. A male resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, decided to insure his stockpile of expensive and extremely rare cigars. Among the events being protected by the policy was fire. Within a month, the man had smoked his entire supply of the noted cigars and filed a claim with the insurance company stating that the cigars were lost in a series of small fires. The insurance company, of course, refused to pay but the man took them to court and actually won the case. The insurance company accepted the ruling and forked over $15,000 to the man. However, once the man cashed the check, the company had him arrested for arson. Using his claim and testimony from his previous case, the company proved that he intentionally burned his insured property and he was sentenced to 2 years in jail and a $24,000 fine.

So there you have it, worth the time to read I hope. I decided not to publish the names of the people involved for sad moral reasons which I can’t really explain.
